Sun City Grand is Del Webb's flagship active adult retirement community in Surprise, AZ that's included in Phoenix Retirement Communities. Located 18 miles northwest of Phoenix in the City of Surprise, Arizona, this golf course community is for the active adult age 45 or better.
There are approximately 9,550 homes in Sun City Grand on nearly 4,000 acres of land. Approximately 20,000 residents call Sun City Grand home. For many, Sun City Grand is a second home, a getaway from harsh winter climates.
Sun City Grand homeowners association owns four 18-hole championship golf courses. The golf courses were designed by Billy Casper and Greg Nash. As a homeowner, your current homeowners recreation card provides you the ability to enjoy reduced golf green fees.
Desert Springs, Granite Falls North and Granite Falls South golf courses are challenging courses, each with exigent holes, verdant greens and fairways amidst the spectacular views of the White Tank Mountain Range in the Phoenix West Valley. The newest golf course is the Cimarron Golf Course, which has the look and feel of a Hawaii golf course with its more than 500 palm trees. Annual golf memberships are available to residents and include six-day advance tee time reservations and Sun City Grand Golf Rates and Resident Green Fees.
Life in Sun City Grand hovers around its two focal points, the two recreational facilities. Here Sun City Grand residents participate in the plethora of activities that the community affords. The Village Center is surrounded by cascading water fountains and features the Adobe Spa & Fitness Center, Chaparral Center, Sonoran Plaza, Artisan Studios, Kiva Ballroom, Wall Street Reading Room, a library, multiple meeting rooms and Arizona State University West Lifelong Learning Academy.
The Adobe Spa and Fitness Center includes a heated indoor 6-lane lap pool, an outdoor resort swimming pool and outdoor activity pool, indoor and outdoor spas, indoor walking rack, full locker room, fully equipped health and fitness area, a dance/exercise studio, plus tennis, pickleball and bocce courts. The Cimarron Recreation Center features a fully equipped health and fitness area, a heated outdoor resort-style swimming pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, social hall and multi-purpose rooms, outdoor fireplace and patio and the Cimarron Day Spa.

There is a three-story condominium, La Solana, located just outside the boundaries of Sun City Grand. La Solana contains 252 condominiums in seven buildings, each building with three floors accessed by two elevators on opposite sides of the building.
