Personal Background

Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, Leolinda Bowers brings a rich multicultural background, strong family values, and decades of professional experience to her Arizona real estate career. Proud of her Puerto Rican and Hawaiian heritage, Leolinda’s family roots trace back to 1904 when her maternal grandparents immigrated from Puerto Rico to Hawaii. In 1989, she relocated from Hawaii to Arizona, where she built a successful career and lifelong connections while continuing to visit Hilo regularly to stay close to family and her island roots.

Leolinda and her husband, Woody Bowers, were married on Valentine’s Day in 1990 during one of Phoenix’s rare snowfalls. Woody, a Vietnam veteran, lifelong Arizonan, and former business owner from Glendale, joined the real estate profession in 2012. Together, they have built both a strong family and business partnership centered on integrity, dedication, and community involvement.

Family remains at the center of Leolinda’s life. She and Woody are proud parents of three grown children located in Arizona, Hawaii, and California, as well as grandparents to four grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

Before becoming a respected Arizona Realtor®, Leolinda worked for General Telephone & Electronics (now Verizon) and Phelps Dodge Copper Products, experiences that helped shape her strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail. Her educational background in business management, science, and project management further contributes to her analytical and client-focused approach to real estate.

Leolinda is also well known for her love of animals and home life in Sun City Grand. Her household includes two beloved Maltese dogs, Happy and Sunshine, a parrot named Mango, five koi fish, and two adopted desert tortoises, Norman and Harry. In 2004, Leolinda and Woody built their home in Sun City Grand, where they continue to live year-round on the Cimarron side of the community in Surprise, Arizona.
