Personal Background

My family’s story began in 1904, when my maternal grandparents immigrated from Puerto Rico to Hawaii. I’m proud of my Puerto Rican and Hawaiian heritage and was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. I moved to Arizona in 1989, and though Arizona is now home, I return to Hilo Hawaii several times each year to visit family.

My husband, Woody Bowers, and I married on February 14, 1990—a rare Phoenix Valentine’s Day snowfall! Woody, a Vietnam veteran and lifelong Arizonan (raised in Glendale), joined me in real estate in 2012 after decades of business ownership.

Together, we have three grown children—a daughter in Surprise, a daughter in Hawaii, and a son in California.

Before my real estate career, I retired from General Telephone & Electronics (Verizon) and Phelps Dodge Copper Products.

I love animals and share my home with two beloved Maltese companions: Happy and Sunshine—my constant reminders of joy.

My home has a menagerie of pets including Mango my parrot. I have nine koi (Brownie, ZigZag, Lucy, PD, Girlie, Highway, Freeway, Ichi, & San). 20 years ago I adopted two desert tortoises.

We built our home in Sun City Grand in 2004; we live on the Cimarron 85387 side of the community.
